ATTIVITÁ SOSPESE AL PASSAGGIO DEL CORTEO. ASCOM CONFCOMMERCIO E CONFESERCENTI ESPRIMONO SOLIDARIETÁ AI FAMILIARI DELLE VITTIME

VIAREGGIO. Anche i commercianti viareggini aderiscono alla ricorrenza dell’anniversario della strage della stazione di Viareggio. Confesercenti e ASCOM Confcommercio Viareggio, esprimendo la solidarietà ai familiari delle vittime, invitano infatti i propri soci a sospendere l’attività al momento del passaggio del gonfalone, delle autorità e dei familiari durante la manifestazione di stasera. Dopo il passaggio  le attività, soprattutto dei pubblici esercizi, riprenderanno, anche se in modo più contenuto, nel rispetto della tragedia. Questo per garantire il servizio ai molti turisti e ospiti della città, ai quali ASCOM e Confesercenti hanno distribuito un volantino in ricordo della strage, scritto in sette lingue diverse  che riportiamo qui sotto:

QUESTO è il terzo anno che ci ritroviamo e io ho ancora questo vestito viola: E’il solito, è quello di quella notte, quello della fine della nostra vita di prima. I trentadue nomi della strage della stazione sono sempre qui con noi e con voi, ci sostengono, ci aiutano, ci danno coraggio, ci danno la forza di andare avanti anche se con il dolore del primo giorno. Domani saranno tre anni che siamo qui, sulle strade insieme a voi, perché loro non ci sono più e tocca a noi continuare la vita per loro, Tocca a noi farli conoscere al mondo perché loro non lo conosceranno più, tocca noi far sapere perché sono dovuti morire così. Nessuno di noi saprà mai come Emanuela sarebbe stata da grande, o Luca e Lorenzo e Iman giovani ragazzi, o se Federico e Elena avrebbero avuto un bambino, e Antonio non vedrà il suo primo nipotino; avevano ancora tante, troppe cose da fare, ma qualcuno ha strappato loro la vita negandogli il futuro.

Ma proprio a queste 32 persone una risposta deve essere data: sapere la verità sulla loro morte, di chi sono le responsabilità e la certezza che chi ha sbagliato paghi per tutte queste vite che non ci sono più e che una tragedia simile non accada mai più a nessuno.

Ecco perché ora noi dobbiamo pensare al futuro, dobbiamo pensare all’udienza preliminare e al processo, perché questo è il prossimo passo fondamentale. In quell’aula di tribunale non ci saremo solo noi familiari e tutta Viareggio a chiedere giustizia, ma ci saranno soprattutto loro.

Vogliono sapere perché non possono più vivere la vita che avevano, saranno lì a chiederlo attraverso la nostra presenza, attraverso la nostra tenacia, attraverso la nostra voce. Non hanno avuto la vita e noi per loro dobbiamo sapere perché, non possiamo darci pace in altro modo. E noi tutti dobbiamo sapere che la risposta va data principalmente a 32 vite che non ci sono più.

We have been meeting for three years now, and I am still wearing this purple dress, which represents what happen that night, and the end of our life as we knew it before the accident. 

The 32 names of the accident at the station are still here with us and with you, they support and help us, they give us the strength to carry on even if we still feel the same vivid pain of the first day.

It will be three years tomorrow, us all together marching in the streets, for they are no longer here and we must carry on with our lives also for them. We have to let the world know about them, because they will never be able to know the world, we have to let everybody know why they had to die this way.

No one will never know what Manuela would have been like as an adult, or young Luca, Lorenzo, Iman, or if Federico and Elena would have had a baby, and Antonio will never be able to see his first grandchild. They still had so many, too many things to do when suddenly somebody tore their lives away from them, denying them a future.

And so it’s to these 32 people that an answer is owed: we need to know the truth about their deaths and whose responsibility  it is; but most of all we need to be assured that nothing like this is ever going to happen again. We now need to think about the future, we need to focus on the Hearing and the Trial, because this represents the first, most important step. Then in Court  there won’t be just us, the families of the deceased, and the whole of Viareggio. Most of all there will be them: asking through our presence, our determination and our voices why they were prevented from living their lives.

We won’t be able to rest until we get an answer, and the answer hast be given to these 32 lives that are no more.
